It’s a grey, showery but warm day today. We thought we would take the opportunity to visit our community garden between rain showers. And lo and behold, found the garden growing furiously in the moist warm weather. The kale was harvestable, and we came home with an entire grocery bag full, just ready to make kale chips out of! Our Brussels sprouts, potatoes, zucchini, beans, beets and garlic are also growing very well. Can’t wait to eat more out of the garden, and the best thing about it is that the children are learning so much about the Earth, where their food comes from, and how important good nutrition is! Garden’s are amazing things!
